Because I want to solve real problems: I've been interested in the maker scene for a number of years. Solving everyday problems or implementing new ideas is what I enjoy. However, I always face the same problems: How do I get the project from the workbench to the job site? I'm definitely not the only one who regularly searches for power supplies or waterproof cases for his projects. I would like to solve these and other problems.
Because I want to solve the problems sustainably: As a member of Generation Y, climate and environmental protection are important to me. The short life of many products and the prevention of repairs is a thorn in my side. But if I've made my product myself, it is more important to me that it works for a long time and I repair it as often as possible. Of course, I know that I won't save the world with this, but maybe it's a small step in the right direction.
Because I'm curious: Why shouldn't you be able to build your own weather station or heating control? What exactly is the problem? Who or what is preventing me from doing this? Most problems can be solved with more or less effort. And what do I have to lose?
Eydam Prototyping is officially founded. There is no product yet, but I have already started to expand my workshop into "company headquarters". Fully motivated, I do everything myself, from manual work to taxes and employers' liability insurance association to the website and still work full-time in my job as a development engineer for vehicle technology.
The past few months have mainly been devoted to expanding the workshop and developing various prototypes. But something essential is still missing for a company's identity: its own logo. I got that in May 2020.
The first product, SolidCircuit HV3, is ready. Now it goes into production. I have contacted manufacturers who are supposed to manufacture my product. When everything was clear, I ordered the first 100 pieces.
